To All Town Supporters in West Anglia - Meet Simon Clegg
** please note change of date **

We are delighted to announce that Simon Clegg CBE, Chief Executive of Ipswich Town FC has kindly agreed to give a short speech followed by an open Q&A session at the next WABITS meeting. Former Stowe pupil Simon joined the BOA in 1989 after an Army career in which he managed the British biathlon team. He became the association's first Chief Executive in 1997, a position he held for over 10 years. Simon has overseen the British team at Olympic Games as ‘chef de mission’ and was an important figure in the in the early stages of London's bid for the 2012 Olympics.

The meeting is open to ALL Town fans in the area, there is no obligation to join the official West Anglia Branch of Ipswich Town Supporters (WABITS) or even our forum / blog, but we hope you will consider it worthwhile. We also hope to welcome as many ITFC supporters as possible from the adjoining areas served by the Midlands and Fenland branches.

There is a pay-bar in “The Bedford” golf club – not to be confused with the “Bedfordshire” or the ‘Bedford and County’ which are nearby – and food can be purchased all day until 9pm.
