Who Are We?

Formed in the Spring of 2003 - the West Anglia Branch is affiliated to the main Ipswich Town Supporters Club.

Our area?

The West Anglia Branch is the local ITFC Supporters Branch for Town fans living in and around what is roughly the area covered by Anglia TV West. As a rough guide, this area stretches from from St Neots and Sandy to the East, Buckingham to the West, Northampton to the North and Luton/Dunstable at the Southern end.

Our aims?

We are aware that there are a large number of Town fans in the West Anglia area - we hope that the Branch will provide a means of keeping in contact with other Town fans, either at regular meetings or via the internet/email.  

We arrange travel to home games - car sharing where possible - often meeting in Legends after the match. Gives us a chance to see the highlights of the game, (and avoid the queues of traffic heading away from Portman Road!!). 

We also do the same for occasional away games - while we lost one of our "local" fixtures when Luton were relegated, there are still short trips to the London away fixtures. Also, a number of WABITS went to Blackpool for the recent away match.

Organise occasional non football social events

Our meetings are held every three months or so - we have now adopted the Pilgrims Progress pub in Bedford as our venue. We intend to hold one of our futute meetings (within the next few months) at a local ten pin bowling alley (or equivalent venue), something a bit different from our normal meet up in a pub. Full details will be shown on the website as soon as they have been confirmed.

Yahoo Forum

We also have a forum on Yahoo, the membership currently stands at nearly 60 (as at February 2008). The Yahoo forum is primarily for use of WABITS members, but membership is open to Town fans anywhere.

We use it to post messages, arrange travel to matches (Home and Away),discuss the latest news about the Town, take part in polls etc.
